Gardening for Pollinators: Why it is important & how we can make a difference

In this presentation, author, photographer, naturalist and preservationist Charlotte Caldwell will cover the intrinsic value of pollinators, how pollination works, who the pollinators are and what are some of the major threats to their survival. We will also look at decisions we can make in our gardens that will help protect them, and will end with some tips on gardening for butterflies.
Charlotte will offer a selection of her books for sale including The Faces of Local Foods and Kirby's Journal: Backyard Butterfly Magic. Books are $30 and $15, respectively. Cash or check only.
About Charlotte
Charlotte uses her photography as a springboard for sharing and storytelling. Charlotte is a resident of Charleston and is the author and photographer of several non-fiction coffee table books.
